I'm Justin, and I love taking photos.

Just ask my family – inevitably, every time we go somewhere, I’m behind the group, and behind my camera. I have the fortune of living in beautiful Mendocino County, California where beautiful photo opportunities abound. 

I’ve always loved taking photos, but I experienced a turning point in my photography in 2020. While the pandemic took many things from all of us, it gave me two valuable things: it reignited my passion for photography and reintroduced me to the beautiful south coast of Mendocino County. 

While we were all stuck at home in the early stages of the pandemic, I decided to try and do something productive with my time which led me to taking photo editing courses. This had a profound effect on my photography and led me to rediscovering photos I had already taken and seeing them in a new way, with new possibilities. It also led me to think about diferent and more creative ways to capture photos and expanded my skill level exponentially. 

Staying close to home also meant finding and rediscovering places close to me, namely the south coast of Mendocino County. I now find myself frequently returning to these areas and experiencing again and again the untold depth of the beauty they hold.
